In the meantime, those of us interested in renting their own cars to ensure they make the most of their time overseas, will need to obtain an International Driving Permit. It is a very simple process that can either be done online, in person, or through the mail. Follow either link below to obtain your permit. AAA members also receive benefits when obtaining a permit through them, however I do not believe they offer an online application option. If you do prefer to get your permit online AATA has that option available.
